It has been a long couple of months but I’m happy to say I am now back to work & fully recovered . I am looking forward to getting back to working with clients, assisting them in finding a new home or selling their current one.
“The Greater Vancouver housing market continues to see slightly elevated demand from home buyers, steady levels of supply from home sellers and incremental gains in home values depending on the area and property type.” Was the highlight of this month’s news release from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, it also stated that “’This is the fourth consecutive month that the Greater Vancouver market has exceeded 3,000 sales,’ Darcy McLeod, REBGV president-elect said. ‘Prior to this, our market had not surpassed the 3,000 sale mark since June of 2011.’ Last month’s sales were 3.8 per cent above the 10-year sales average for July of 2,948.” If you would like further details on the market, specifically in your neighbourhood drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 604-340-1443, I’d be happy to fill you in on specific details!
Labor Day weekend is coming up, do you have plans to go out of town? If not here are a few interesting events I have found around town:
The PNE, it is the last weekend the PNE will be here this summer. It is jam packed with tons of activities and shows to see, new this year is the Game of Thrones®: The Exhibition, Get Animated! Interactive Animation Exhibit, their summer night concerts include for the long weekend; Plain White T’s, Dallas Smith, The Pointer Sisters & Glass Tiger. Not to mention who can forget all the fabulous fair food, mini donuts, corn dogs, candy apples, deep fried mars bars, the 4th Annual Rib festival and so many others to mention!
Saturday, August 30th from 9am-2pm check out the Burnaby Farmers’ Market for locally grown produce and crafts. The market also features live music, a used book exchange, and a kids play tent.
Out in Maple Ridge on Sunday, August 31st from 10am-2pm join the Rotary Club of Haney & the Rotary Club of Meadow Ridge in the 4th Annual Rotary Duck Race supporting local youth groups, buy a rubber duck for $10 and watch it float down the Alouette River to the finish line, prizes include a Fiat 500, a weekend stay in Whistler, Flatscreen TV & more.
